Functions of Accounts & VLC Wing
Accounts:
The wing is headed by Deputy Accountant General an officer from Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS). The accounts of the Government of Haryana are compiled on the basis of disbursement and receipts of Haryana Government, detail of which are received in the form of vouchers and schedules from 25 treasuries (including cyber treasury), compiled accounts of 203 Public Works Divisions and 40 Forest Divisions of the state. After compiling accounts, the accounts wing submits following reports to the State Government:
- Monthly Accounts
- Monthly Civil Accounts
- Report on Expenditure
These reports are submitted to the Finance Department of the State Government
- Annual Accounts submitted to the Governor of Haryana
- Appropriation Accounts
- Finance Accounts
These accounts/reports are submitted to the Governor of Haryana for presentation to the State Legislature.
VLC:
Much of the work of the Accounts is processed through VLC software/program/applications. Main functions of VLC is to generate Monthly Civil Account, Finance and Appropriation Accounts, maintenance of historical database, maintenance and Updating of classification master and budget data, creation and maintenance of master data, generation of various reports relating to different modules.
