The Pension Group headed by an IA&AS Officer of the rank of Deputy. Accountant General/Senior Deputy Accountant General deals with verification and authorization of Regular Pension, Family Pension, Commutation, Gratuity, Revision of Pension and all other Pension related works pertaining to the retired employees of Government of Meghalaya, AIS Officers retiring from Meghalaya, High Court Judges, Members of Legislative Assembly, Chairman and Members of the Meghalaya Public Service Commission etc.

The Pension Group also issue Special Seal Authority for certain categories of Meghalaya pensioners, who desire to draw pension/family pension from Treasury/Bank outside the State.
