Introduction

Office of the Accountant General (Audit), Telangana is responsible for conducting Performance audit, Compliance audit, Financial audits of General and Social Sector, Economic & Revenue Sector of the State Government of Telangana. This office is also responsible for auditing State Government Public Sector Undertakings and autonomous bodies under CAGs Duties, Powers and Conditions of Service Act,1971. The audit is conducted in conformity with Auditing Standards issued by Comptroller and Auditor General of India.

The office prepares Audit Reports periodically and submits the same to the Honorable Governor of the State under the signature of Comptroller and Auditor General of India for being laid before the State Legislature.
