Welfare section deals in:-
Departmental Canteen
The Departmental Canteen caters to the needs of over 2000 employees working in various offices in the AGCR Complex and functions under the control of the office of the Director General of Audit, Central Expenditure with representation from Pr. AG(Audit) and PDA (ESM). New hygienic and delicious food like Poha, Upma, Sprouts have been added in the canteen menu. Canteen has been modernized with the purchase of vacuum cleaner, floor cleaner and Dishwasher with latest technology.
First Aid
There are 2 beds and a wheel chair to facilitate ailing employees First Aid is also provided to the members of the staff suffering minor injuries during duty hours. Welfare section has the facility for providing medicines for common cold and fever. Facility for checking of blood pressure and weight is also available. A training for 30 selected employees on first aid demonstration was organized on 10th January 2014 by the office through St. John’s Ambulance professionals in this field.
Recreation and Cultural Activities
The Director General of Audit, Central Expenditure is the Chairman of the Recreation Club, Welfare section co-ordinates with the Recreation club with regard to conduct of recreation activities. The offices conducts all events in the newly renovated Recreation hall. A full fledged Gymnasium under able supervision of instructors is functional since April’ 2016.
Blood Donation
Blood donations camp is organized each year. Last blood donation camp was organized on 18/04/2016 with the coordination of Rotary International Blood Bank. Employees donated blood in large numbers.
Yoga
Yoga Training was conducted during 28th March 2016 to 01st April 2016 by the office under the able yoga instructor from Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, Delhi. An awareness programme by an expert on “Yoga for stress Management” was organized to mark the Second International Yoga Day falling on 21 June 2016. This covered the employees of all the three offices namely DGACE, DGACR and Pr. AG(Audit), Delhi.
Social cause
Financial help was got arranged from the Delhi office staff on voluntary basis for the medical help for a needy colleague at Office of the A&E Nagpur.
Sports Activities
Welfare section deals with all the sports activities including sanction of cash benefits and special casual leave to sports persons excelling and participating in the different tournament respectively. A post of welfare assistant has been sanctioned for this purpose also by headquarters.
Disaster Management.
Besides regular meeting on Disaster Management, Welfare wing with help of administrative wing has also organised a Fire Mock Drill by Delhi Fire Services professionals.
Benevolent Fund
The Accounts of this fund for the period ended March 2015 has been audited annually and forwarded to headquarter office on (dated: 20/05/2016). Efforts to increase the number of voluntary contributors towards fund was taken by welfare during this financial year 2016-17 and encouraging results were seen. Welfare Group has been entrusted with the work of Training Section, Rajbhasha Section and Hindi Report Translation Cell w.e.f. 21.1.2016 while the earlier charge relating to Security, Care taking and sanitation has been shifted from the same date from Welfare to General Department (GD Wing) falling under Administration Group.
