Ms Preethi Abraham assumed office as Principal Director of Audit, Defence Services, Pune on 05 April, 2021. The Principal Director is primarily entrusted with the responsibility to audit the accounts of various Defence Units/Formations/Offices under the audit jurisdiction of this office and give audit assurance.
She belongs to Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS) of 2003 batch. She holds a Masters degree in Economics.
Prior to assuming charge as Principal Director in this office, she has served as Principal Director of Audit(Central), Ahmedabad.
She had been assigned with various foreign assignments like UN Audit - United Nations Peacekeeping Operations- Global Field Support Strategy (UNPKO-GFSS) at New York and GFSS, Financial Audit at New York and Entebbe. She is also a Nominee representing SAI India to the INTOSAI Financial Audit and Accounting Sub-committee (FAAS).
