K R Sriram is a member of the Indian Audit and Accounts Service (1987 batch). He is currently Deputy Comptroller & Auditor General (Central Revenue Audit) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), in the Office of the CAG, with overall responsibility for audit of Direct Taxes, Customs and GST. As CTO, his responsibility covers IS management, including the implementation of the One IAAD One System (OIOS) IT system for audit management, data analytics to assist CAG audits and Information Systems (IS) audit.

Sriram holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics & Communications Engineering from the University of Delhi. He has rich professional experience of nearly three decades in public sector auditing, in particular in the areas of performance auditing and IS audit, besides acquiring internationally recognized professional certifications in IS audit and internal aud. He also has extensive international experience, and was, from 2013 to 2018, the Head of the Finance & Procurement Department at the ITER Organization, an international project which is building the world’s largest tokamak nuclear fusion reactor in France.
