Introducing iCED
International Centre for Environment Audit and Sustainable Development (iCED), Jaipur. Located in an 85% ‘Green Campus’ amidst the rolling Aravalli hills, just outside the historic city of Jaipur, iCED is a unique institution set up under the aegis of the Comptroller & Auditor General of India. It is dedicated to capacity-building and research on environment audit and issues pertaining to sustainable development.
For over a decade iCED has been a Global Training Facility (GTF) of Supreme Audit Institution (SAI) India in the International Organisation of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) – Working Group on Environmental Auditing (WGEA). It is also a GTF of the INTOSAI – Working Group on Extractive Industries (WGEI). It also leads national capacity building efforts of SAI India, both within the Indian Audit and Accounts Department (IAAD) as also in designated programmes of the Government of India, including of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), in the areas of Environment and Sustainable Development.
iCED undertakes extensive research in collaboration with leading independent think-tanks like The Energy Research Institute (TERI) as well as in a vibrant in-house research programme, to evolve quality publications and research papers.
