The audit of workshops over Northern Railway is carried out by Local Audit Parties as per following details:-

Local Audit Party-II	Locomotive Workshop, Charbagh ucknow Carriage & Wagon Workshop, Alambagh Lucknow Signal Shop Workshop Ghaziabad

A Local Audit Party is headed by Senior Audit Office who is supported by Assistant Audit offices, Auditors/Senior Auditors and other staff. The Local Audit Parties carry out audit of expenditure incurred by the Workshops mainly on establishment matters, repair & maintenance of rolling stock, Signaling and Telecommunication equipment, bridges, manufacturing of rolling stock items etc.

The Local Audit parties conduct Compliance Audit, Financial Audit and Performance Audit as per the audit schedule and in accordance with the instructions/procedures contained in audit manuals and as per the extant orders/guidelines issued by the C&AG office from time to time.
