The office of the Accountant General (Audit-I) is headed by an Accountant General. In his discharge of duties, he is assisted by the Deputy Accountant General (Administration), Deputy Accountant General (AMG-I), Deputy Accountant General (AMG-II), Deputy Accountant General (AMG-III), Sr. Deputy Accountant General (AMG-IV) and Deputy Accountant General (AMG-V).
What we do
We conduct audit of:
- All expenditures from the Consolidated Fund of Odisha.
- All transactions of the State relating to Contingency Fund and Public Accounts.
- All trading, manufacturing profit & loss account and balance sheet and other subsidiary accounts kept in the department of the Government of Odisha.
- Receipts and expenditure of bodies or authorities substantially financed from the State revenues.
- Grant or loan given from the Consolidated Fund of Odisha.
- Stores and stock.
- Accounts of the State Public Sector Undertakings.
- Accounts of Panchayati Raj Institutions and Urban Local Bodies.
The above audit functions pertain to 24 out of 39 Departments of the State Government, which come under the Audit jurisdiction of this office.
