The office of Director General of Audit, East Coast Railway, Bhubaneswar is one of the field offices of Indian Audit & Accounts Department headed by Comptroller & Auditor General of India. This office was created after tri-furcation of erstwhile South Eastern Railway on 01-04-2006. This office is entrusted with auditing work of East Coast Railway having Headquarters at Bhubaneswar, three divisions at Khurda Road, Visakhapatnam and Sambalpur and one Carriage Repair Workshop at Mancheswar. This office carries out different audit activities viz. Financial Attest Audit, Compliance Audit, Performance Audit, Theme-Based Audit, Outcome-Based Audit, Central Audit, etc., round the year. This apart, this office also carries out Special Investigations as and when required.
