| A. General Sector includes Departments like General Administration (including Secretariat Administration, Governors’ Secretariat) Police, Home Guards, Justice, Jail, Election, Finance, Small Savings, Printing and Stationery, Banks, etc. B. Central Government Offices like Assam Rifles and its units, North Eastern Council (NEC), etc.fall under this sector. C. Central Autonomous Bodies like Doordarshan Kendra, All India Radio, etc.fall under General Sector. D. State Autonomous Bodies, eg. Disaster Management Authority, Autonomous District Councils, etc.also fall under General Sector. |

Economic Sector includes Departments like Public Works Department (Roads & Bridges) and Building, Agriculture, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Border Areas, Soil & Water Conservation, etc. B. Central Government Offices like Central Public Works Department, Research Institute Byrnihat, etc. C. Central Autonomous Bodies like Indian Council for Agricultural Research, Rubber Board, Coffee Board, etc. D. State Autonomous Bodies, eg.District Rural Development Agency, Agricultural Marketing Board, Designated Programme Implementing Units for PMGSY, etc. |
| Financial Audit are conducted along with Compliance Audit in respect of the following: 1. 3 Autonomous District Councils. 2 1 State Autonomous Body |
| The Government of Meghalaya has entrusted the Technical Guidance and Support (TGS) for audit of 6 Municipal Boards in the State from 30 March 2013, the TGS was further re-entrusted from 2017-18. |
| A. Social Sector includes Departments like Health & Family Welfare, Education, Social Welfare, Sports & Youth Affairs, Information & Public Relation, etc B. Central Government Offices like Regional Health and Family Welfare, Regional Office for SC/ST, etc. C. Central Autonomous Bodies: Multi Central Autonomous Bodies like Central Schools viz.KendriyaVidyalaya, Nehru Yuva Kendra, NavodayaVidyalayaSamiti. This office conducts audit as sub-auditor on behalf of the Principal Auditor, i’e The DGA, CE, New Delhi and materials for Separate Audit Reports are forwarded to the Principal Auditor. D. State Autonomous Bodies, eg.State Health Society (NHM), Hospital Management Society, Meghalaya Urban Development Authority, State Education Mission Authority, etc. |
