Introduction

The office of the Accountant General (Audit), Delhi was formed with effect from 19 October 1993. The position is designated/re-designate as the Accountant General or Principal Accountant General as per administrative convenience. The office is located in DGACR Building at Indraprastha Estate in New Delhi.

The Accountant General (Audit), Delhi functions under the auspices of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India and is responsible for audit of all expenditure and revenue of the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi and all public sector undertakings and autonomous bodies under its administrative control. In addition, he is responsible for audit of Delhi Police.
