Shri Sameer Mehta is an IA&AS officer of 2010 batch. He has done his graduation in Commerce stream from Delhi University. He joined the Academy as Director on 31.8.2022.
Before joining the National Academy, he has worked in several capacities, as Deputy Accountant General (Works Accounts), Office of the Pr. Accountant General (A&E)-I, MP, Deputy Accountant General (Administration, Commercial and State Receipts), Office of the Accountant General (Audit-II), Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Director (Administration), Office of the Director General of Central Expenditure, Director (Personnel), Office of the CAG of India and Director (Audit), Office of the Principal Director of Audit (London).
During his posting abroad, he has handled the audit of Missions/Posts across Europe. Apart from his posting in London, he has also done the audit of United Nations Headquarters at New York twice. He has diverse experience of auditing at both national and international levels and administration. At the national level, he has handled the audits of State PSUs and various departments engaged in collection of revenue in the State of MP. He has also handled the Audit Reports of the CAG of India on theAccounts of the Union Government and compliance of the provisions of FRBM Act.
