Ms. Smita Gopal, IA&AS, belongs to the 2004 batch of Indian Audit and Accounts Service (IA&AS). She completed her LLB and practised law in Kolkata High Court prior to joining the Indian Audit and Accounts Department. She has held many charges in various IAAD offices and has experience in audit of State Governments, Direct and Indirect Taxes, Local Bodies and several Government of India Ministries. She has served in several States including Chhattisgarh, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh and New Delhi. She also holds a Master's degree in Business Law.
