Every Government Servant shall submit his application for pension at least one year in advance from the date of his anticipated retirement. The Application Form along with the following enclosures shall be forwarded through the Head of Office / Head of Department to the Accountant General Office for issue of Authorisation of Payment Orders.
- Service Book ( Date of Retirement should be indicated in the book)
- Three copies of Passport size Photographs with wife /husband (Joint photo) duly attested by the Head of Office
- Two Specimen Signatures, duly attested by the Head of office. Left Hand Thumb impression duly attested by the head of office for those who cannot sign.
- Two slips showing the particulars of height and identification marks duly attested by Head of Office.
- Sanction Order in respect of non Govt.Aided Educational Institution cases and missing employees
- In case of Teachers, Nonemployment/Reemployment Certificate
- Copy of FIR in respect of missing employee
- Nomination for GPF in duplicate
- Nomination for DCRG in duplicate
- Nomination for Life Time Arrears of Pension in duplicate
- Nomination for commutation of pension in duplicate
- Medical Certificate in original in Form 23 as prescribed in Rule 36 of TNPR for invalidation cases, issued by Medical Board
- Certificate of Medical opinion of Doctors for admitting Commuted Value of Pension in Invalidation/Compulsory Retirement cases
- Ratification Order of Government for waiving any shortfall in notice period due to sanction of extraordinary leave with or without MC (VR)
- Military Verification Certificate
- Copy of challan for refund of Gratuity received with interest for Military Service
- Copy of Proceedings issued in case of Compulsory Retirement/Voluntary Retirement/Invalidation
- Copy of Government order imposing cut in pension issued on completion of disciplinary proceedings/Dropping the charges
- Copy of Adoption Deed in case of adopted children
- Copy of Medical Certificate in case of mentally retarded children/Handicapped children
- List of Family Members attested by the Head of Office
Cases where disciplinary proceedings are instituted against a Government Servant
Self Drawing Officers
Application for provisional pension may be sent, pending final orders for authorising Pension by the Accountant General.
Non-Self Drawing Officers
Application for pension need not be forwarded as the Departmental Officer is empowered to sanction provisional pension. Application for normal pension may be forwarded after the final orders are passed.
