Functions & Activities:-
The Administrative Functions of this Section involve: Recruitment of Group ‘B’ and ‘C’ staff, work regarding completion of probationary periods and confirmations, promotions, financial upgradation, transfers and postings, resignation, and retirement; Issuance of APAR Forms; Organisation of In-house Trainings and nominations of trainees for training at the Regional Training Institutes/Centres, iCISA, iCED and other organisations. Work relating to Disciplinary Matters and Court Cases; Work related to Service Associations matters – their recognition/de-recognition, extension of recognition;
The Establishment Functions of the section are: preparation of Salary Bills, other bills and claims related to staff (regarding Domestic Travel Expenses on tours and transfers, reimbursement of Medical Expenses and Children Education Assistance); Sanction of Long-term Advance (House Building Advance) and Short-term Advance (Advance for purchase of Personal Computer); Maintenance of Control over Expenditure and submission of monthly Review of Expenditure to Headquarters, preparation and submission of Revised Estimates and Budget Estimates for Major –Head 2016 and Major-Head 7610 – Loans & Advances; Maintenance of monthly Staff Position of Sanctioned Strength and Person-in-Position; Matters relating to Superannuation and Family Pensions and other retirement benefits; Matters relating to Office and Residential Accommodation of Officers and staff; Matters related to maintenance of Service Records and Leave Accounts, and issue of Passes and PTOs to the staff, pensioners and widows of employees/pensioners.
There is a Hindi cell within the section to deal with the works related to implementation of Official Language.
Routine & Correspondence (RC) Section:-
This Section deals with General Administration of the Office. Procurements of Office Machinery and Equipment (Other than IT related) and Furniture and their repair and maintenance, Purchase and Maintenance of Staff Car; Matters relating Telephone and Facsimile and payment of their charges; Matters relating to Outsourced workers for office work, their contracts and payment of bills; Work relating to hiring of Inspection Vehicle by the office; Procurement of Stationaries, Service Postage Stamps, Office Library and Receipt and Issue of Dak.
EDP Cell:-
All matters dealing with IT Assets of this office i.e. procurement, maintenance and disposal of all IT Assets, matters dealing with LAN, e-mail, and internet services, arrangement video conferencing. This Cell also impart EDP related In-house Training. The Cell is supervised by a separate Branch Officer.
