Introduction

The maintenance and renewal of Civil Engineering assets of the Railways is the responsibility of the Open Line Organisation of the Civil Engineering Department. The construction activities of the Railways are under the administrative control of a Chief Administrative Officer (Construction) reporting directly to the General Manager (Construction) who in turn reports directly to the Railway Board.
